Reception Venue in Cheadle/Stockport?

Hi all,

I'm getting married in June 2011 and I'm struggling to find a venue in Cheadle/Stockport where we can hold the reception.

There's going to be roughly 100 guests (some coming directly from the wedding and others arriving later in the evening) and we would prefer to self-cater.

Any ideas?

We're getting married at the Town Hall but can't afford to use their venue for the Reception.

Budget of about £250-300.

I think you are not really going to find anything on that budget (ill be surprised if you do) for the area you have given. Would you be willing to go further afield for the reception venue?

I cant think of anywhere in cheadle but Old Bedians Rugby Club in Didsbury has two function rooms for hire both have dance floors and bars i think. Worth ringing them. I've not been in but I walk dogs past and it looks lovely and modern!

I dont know the area so cant be at all specific about places but on your budget which is very tight you are looking at the following types of venue
cricket club
football club
church hall
sports club
school hall
skittle alley
community centre
some of these places may have the facility for catering but not necessarly a bar...is your budget including the cost of catering or just the hire of the venue?

The budget I've posted above would purely be for the hire of the venue.

Also to add - we're looking in the Cheadle/Stockport area as there are guests invited that won't be able to travel so not looking to go too far a field!
