I doubt you will get much you will be lucky if you even get 50p-£1. Most people want dvd's now0

I've got loads of cassettes, the smaller music cassettes and the Vhs, i wanted to try and get something to convert them to play on the computer. I'm not technical but sure there must be something, but as for getting rid of them i don't think even the charity shops want them.
I wonder could you 'knit' carrier bags, or even some sort of quirky jumper, start a new trend. Perhaps try to make some sort of art sculpture to go in the garden and scare the birds from your strawberries, maybe make a picture a sort of wall hanging.
Probably sounds a bit daft but then i'm dead mean i don't throw anything away, i think that's sure to come in useful for something.

I noticed on one charity's collection bag "dvds, cds" but no mention of video or music tapes. 10p from Cash Converters doesn't sound a bad price considering nobody seems to want them.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Could try eBay but you'll only get significant money if the content is something out of the mainstream that hasn't emerged on DVD or BluRay yet, or the VHS is some kind of special edition with unique packaging, included gifts, or suchlike.
If it's on DVD or BluRay and you have the 'standard' VHS, then you're looking at 10p, 20p and the like.0 -

There is, but what you pick will depend on what gear you have already and how much you want spend (and how good you want the quality to be)
Do you still have your cassette deck? Or a standalone cassette player? More to the point, why do you need to play them 'on the computer'? Why not just buy a cassette player and play them?
VHS tapes can, with suitable gear, be transferred to DVD and played from there. Again, what you do depends on budget and your existing gear. And again, why do you particularly want to play them on the computer rather than TV?0 -
You can't even give them away on freecycle any more.0

most cash converters won't take them now either.
the only way to get rid of them is to try a bootfair and try and knock them out at something like 10 for £10
