New Printer for New Business

Hi all,

My OH and I have started our own business, and want to invest in a good printer. It'll have to be colour, and an all-in-one. Since we're an IT Consultancy its gotta be reliable and efficient, as we're going to be using it everyday.

Obviously ink costs as low as possible would be fantastic.

Please, could anyone give us any advice or tips!

Thanks
:)

I gave you a Thanks for that, as you made me smile!

But......IT consultancy doesn't mean that we're experts on printers!

.....any chance of any help instead of wise-cracks please? :)

    Sorry, I couldn't resist it.

I don't have any experience with all-in-ones, but you are right about ink costs being important.

Whenever you look at a printer always check the cost of replacement cartridges, and look into refilling them.

I'm sure others in here have, and use all-in-ones and will give you there opinion of them.

Good luck in your new business.

    my thoughts exactly! ;)

@ the op: depends on how much you intend on using it??
I picked up the HP PSC-1219 (colour) All-in-One a while back for around £50, it's ideal for my small business use.

It's not particularly fast though, so if you're planning on doing a lot of printing then a different model might be more appropriate.

edit: forgot about the ink costs bit.. HP genuine cartridges are not cheap however, my local Cartridge World refils them for £10 a go which is way cheaper than any other option I've found.

  • We have a HP for our bulk use and al;though the cartridges themselves are more expensive they do print alot more with good quality. I get my ink from https://www.eco-office-supplies.co.uk - as well as paper etc. I buy in bulk of them so that keeps prices down again! Brother are claiming to be the most energy efficient at the moment - they have won awards! I don't have alot of experience with them though so wouldn't like to say but it might be worth having a look on their site. When you decide on a printer make sure you check Ebuyer they generally have some good deals.
