Thank You All

Maybe some celery for flavour but if it's a large weight I'd go for mostly sweede. Celeriac is a big nobbly root vegetable.0

They're selling them in Lidl at the moment and I think they're about a quid each. Well worth buying and mashed they make a lovely bake as well. I can't think of another veg that has even vaguely the same flavour and texture.0

You can put any veg in a soup. Celeriac comes from the same family as celery. You take the skin off and slice celeriac before cooking. You can boil it but we prefer it roasted. If i was you i'd just replace it with any veg you have in your fridge.0

Just use the celery - it will be fine. Or celery salt and any veg.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0

Celeriac is different to celery - Much milder too.
I don't like celery but I love celeriac cooked, or grated on its own0 -

They are different but they are the same plant as such. Celery was selected for the juicy stems and celeriac was selected for the root.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
That's true but celeriac has a lovely mild fennel-sort of flavour which celery does not.0

Fennel is also from the same family so there's no wonder...If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0
