your gp surgery will do this for you.0 -
is there some reason why you can't get it done under the NHS?0

Correction - your GP surgery may test your thyroid, but chances are they will do TSH (which isn't actually a thyroid hormone) and provided that is within their completely fallacious range, they will not do T3 or T4 so you will not have a proper picture of what is happening with your thyroid. I would try the GP first and also ask them to test B12 and folate, Vitamin D and ferritin (stored iron) at the same time.
If there's nothing doing on the thyroid front through the GP then you can get a full thyroid screen done through Genova Diagnostics in New Malden, but it will cost you, although you can get a discount if you belong to one of the on-line thyroid communities.

they are reluctant to do any bloodwork tests other than TSH for 'thyroid testing' just a kind of vague almost random guide to your thyroid condition because of expense, pure expense...our local GP surgery are doing cutbacks on these tests lately even though it can be a life threatning condition.
