Thank you so much for this =D I had been moaning for a while about needing new straightners! I picked some up today at 1 before work, and they seem great! Nice presentation box and lovely long cable! I saw them in Boots too reduced to 32.99! so less than half price at superdrugs !

OH visited store in town at 11.00 this morning to be told "we haven't got any"...OH asked why are you advertising them in a nationwide advert then....asst replied "we didnt get any in"....now bearing in mind this is quite a large store in a shopping centre, OH asked how can I get a set then and was told "you could drive to Coleraine....26miles away"....OH said, I don't think so and mused was this yet another case of store staff grabbing up all the bargains and said she would be giving customer services a ring....3.15 this afternoon got a call from the store manager who had just taken delivery of straighteners....one day only promotion and store closes at 5.30?....bit late OH thought....but went in, paid her money and brought a set home....and the moral is?....you don't ask, then ask again....you don't get!

I feel i ought to give my opinions on these for the benefit of those that have missed out. I got these as a pressie for my daughter passing her exams. At the time they should have been £50 from Boots but had a 3rd off so i paid £33. She has hardly used them and uses my other daughters who had a set of Remington at xmas.

There just doesnt seem to be enough ommppphhhh in them, cant explain it really but im sure some will get on fine with them. Just that theres 3 females in our house and we all use daughters Remingtons instead. The results with the Remingtons are fab. So fast, quick straight and brill. These were £16.99 from Savers last xmas.

So for those that missed them i wouldnt be too dissapointed and those that got them i hope you get on better than us.

I got some of these for Christmas last year. Opened box, plugged then in and - nothing. No display and no heat. Took them back to Boots and exchanged for another set, which worked until mid august when they died in the middle of me doing my hair, and gave me an electric shock when I unplugged them. Took them back again and exchanged for a different make and model which are fantastic. As an earlier poster said, these didn't have enough oomph.
