I know somebody who works at my local one so I texted her, she said its a wind-up, but one that will keep them all amused if people come in and say it!

This is so obviously a wind up!! I cant believe people are actually thinking it was serious lol. Can you imagine seriously going into Costa and saying 'Hip hip hooray' to your server before you say anything else?

exactly the reason why I texted my friend and checked it out, just so that nobody would! to save people wondering or asking if it was legit - and believe it or not there are some VERY odd freebies out there!
and yes some people love a good windup, glad to see thats all it takes to make some people's days better, wish it was all it took to improve mine!0 -
In fairness, I would have gone and tried anyway just for the laugh that said I was offered a free Krispy Kreme hot drink in Reading town centre today so it worked out after all!! Their lattes are super strong... 0
