It's a great day for singing a song / It's a great day for moving along / It's a great day for morning to night / It's a great day for everybody's plight.

Your father pedals car telephones at a 300 percent markup. Your mother works on heavy commission at a camera store. Graduated to it from espresso machines. Hah!

scunnered seems to have a different meaning in Belfast. To me it means i'm fed up (nicest way of putting it!) but when i moved from Coleraine to Belfast most of my partners family think scunnered is being embarrassed lol. Clearly they have no idea!

Like jm_sam I've heard and used the variation, scundered. Like arwen though it means fed up as well.

  • Anyone ever had "Gum-joo-acky"? Me ma used to come off with this one occasionally over the years and mentioned it to relatives from broughshane on Sunday who'd never heard of it. Don't know if it's a Norn Iron term or just a word someone's made up?
