Shift Premium rates - how much?

Hi
Where i work we are having to go on shifts. We currently have just days and nights (4 nights), with nightshift getting a 20% premium.
We have been offered 5% for 6am to 2pm , 10% for 2pm to 10pm and 23% for 10pm to 6am, all for a 5 shift week. Everybody expects nights to be for the current nightshift and the day shift alternating between 6-2 and 2-10. So not a true shift system.
How do the pay rate premiums compare with other peoples who work shifts?
Please state if you alternate between 3 shifts or 2, or if there are set people on each of the 3 shifts.
I think the shift premiums are a joke. This is what the management posted today. they are allowing us a 15minute meeting tomorrow (tuesday) to aggree on representitives for the shop floor and want a meeting tomorrow at 4 with these representitives. i have heard they want it sorted by end of this week.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

I work 24/7 nights, mon tues fri sat sun one week and weds thurs the following week, no bank holidays etc and get 37% for that, the same pattern but day shift get 25%. My last place was 20% for double days, 6-2 & 2-10, 30% for 10-6p.m. if you asked to do nights or 40% if they told you to work nights.
In my opinion shift pay is compensation for not having premium time at home, so I cant see why a higher paid person is compensated more for their time than the lowest paid. Their skill is compensated for by higher pay but everybody's time is worth the same to me but every shift job I have worked have gone over to a direct %age0 -
Any premium in this day and age is generous.0

we get 0% 24/7
I think the day shift premiums are pretty generous, if they are being applied to every hour worked, then assuming you can make it in for 6am then it is same as gettng a 5% payrise.0
