Any lender can be quick, it depends on individual circumstances.
I have had an offer in 3 days before now, and other cases drag on for weeks.

Post office took about 2 weeks including valuation.
I sent the application online on the 27th Nov. I exchanged last friday (7th Jan) and I am due to move in this month 28th Jan.
Hope that helps.0 -
Nationwide have worked quickly for us. We applied by phone on Dec 29th and the forms arrived on Dec 31st. I mailed them back on Jan 4th as this was the first time that the post office was open after New Year. I had a text and email from them at 10.15am the following day to say the application had been received and was being assessed. I also heard that day that the valuation had been done on the new build which we're purchasing. On Jan 7th Nationwide contacted us to say that they'd received the valuation report and today, January 12th, I've had notification that the mortgage offer has been mailed out to ourselves and to our solictor.0
