    why is that?

They falsely described the item they sold me and it was a lot of hassle to get a refund for something that was their fault.

Having bought a Sergio Tacchini tennis skirt for £5 yesterday for my tennis partner, I was telling the girls in my match this morning about all the bargains. We all agreed we hate the shop but what I didn't realize is that they will never issue a refund unless faulty regardless but instead issue vouchers in exchange.

If you bought it from a shop that is perfectly legal. However you do have more recourse if you buy online. It's just they are awful to deal with.

I guess it would have to be legal however my point being, for decent customer relations most shops will offer a refund within a short period of time for wrong size etc. I am hoping my tennis partner has given me the right size for her skirt however for £5 it was probably worth taking the chance anyway! Just mentioning it as a 'heads up' to others really as I didn't know they have a policy of not offering refunds. Worth knowing me thinks! Thanks for the advice all the same re: not being a nice company to deal with. Think it's a case of sell 'em cheap and stack 'em high with zero customer service!!!

Very confused. Had a call off the delivery man today saying he would drop off my parcel at a building 15 minutes walk away from me and I could collect if after work. Unfortunately said building looks completely derelict on Street View and is in a dodgy area I really don't want to be wandering through at night. I expect I haven't got a delivery card either as he said he couldn't get in through the door.

Just attempted tracking my Sports Direct parcel and I don't have a tracking number- because they haven't sent the dispatched email yet! I really don't know what to think. I'm not expecting anything else and yet nothing seems to add up!

I imagine it is my order that has simply arrived really quickly and the chap is trying to save me hassle but I'd rather wait until I get a missed delivery card and try to send my parcel to work instead (which I should have done in the first place!)

EDIT- Just found out that DHL have ordinary people delivering parcels to people in their area, so I've just been asked to go round a stranger's house to get my parcel- no thanks! Bit annoyed as presumably I can't redirect the parcel elsewhere now, and unless he comes back later in the day when I'm in it'll be going back to Sports Direct I'll have lost the extortinate £3.99 P&P. It's certainly put me off from buying off Sports Direct again.
