cheap breakfast in stafford (lichfield road)

Does anyone know of cheap cafe/breakfast place without the usual macd places, my son is working there for 12 weeks living in room only and not sure where to go to eat cheap but filling, no facilities in room . He had a banana for breakfast today! Thanks

There used to be a reasonable(ish) cafe just by the island, Breaks Cafe, 5b Lichfield Road (a "proper caff", but not a "greasy spoon" - don't know if it's still there, or still as good though! (Last time I was there was around 3 years ago). Also, if he's anywhere near the station, there's usually somewhere cheap and cheerful around any railway station. HTH

Asda (a giant one) is round the corner from him.....

Nothing around the train station apart from a giant tesco.

Theres a spoons in town.

Theres a TGIs/Frankie and Bennys in the retail park along the road, but that's not cheap.

Thanks for that , i think asda will be the way to go, and hope to get a mini fridge for his room so cereals may be even cheaper then.
