You think its about getting rid of an individual.
This is about the blanket sacking of hundreds & thousands of people with minimal cost to business & no rights of those dumped on the dole queue at the taxpayers expense.
How very, very short sighted of you.
Not really, how melodramtic from yourself more like.
It is more about making it easier for employers to survive in the current climate which at the end of the day provide the jobs and the majority of tax payers you mention. The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!
If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!

It is not about being melodramatic.
Its about simple facts.
You ("the taxpayer") will end up funding the unemployment of hundereds of thousands laid off on a whim. Not Again0 -

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one.The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

Companies don't sack people who are good at their job, honest, reliable and have good time-keeping.
There are actually millions of unemployed right now who have been made redundant who will fulfil the above criteria.
If it is the case of getting rid of very loyal and honest workers for a business to survive, then sadly, that may have to be considered.
Too many employers panic and think short term, but the reality is that many small companies just dont have the resources to attempt to ride out the economic storm.0 -

...and people still sometimes call ME an idealist.....:rotfl:
Would that that were true....(mind you - the company that did so to good/honest/reliable/punctual moi did me a favour in the end - as I've fared better than I would have if they hadnt done so....and I had the last laugh on them in the end...).0
