Happens all the time. Amazon have an 'intelligent' pricing system and percentage discounts can change very quickly. They often have some at say 70% discount and if the item sells quickly it's reduced to 30 or 20% discount. The other thing that happens is that the supplier sells out and Amazon shows the price of another supplier.
