And we have also now got our Cars down to £170 from a Exec company and not just a wedding car hire company and they are doing 3 trips for us as well.

            Hi all,
 Just an update from us.
We have visited the first venue on our list which was going to offer the following.
Venue - £999 Package: 3 course meal for 50 people
 Glass of wine with meal
 Glass of Bubbly for toasting
 Evening Disco
 Linen and cultery included
 Cake Stand
After visiting at the weekend we was not happy with the room size and i was very small so we are still loooking for a venue at the minute and have now found one that will offer the following for 50 people but its looking to cost alot more and its the cheapest venue so far we have looked at this weekend after visiting meny
 Room Hire - £150
 Toast Drinks - £163
 2 Course - £775
 Disco - £200
 7 Item Buffet for x 75 - £525
 Total - £1813
Its looking alot more now and was not sure what options to look at and seem to be going round in circles with it all.

Were budgeting approx £5k, any tips on how to do this would be much appreciated? Struggling to find a band at a reasonable fee and thats what we both really want 0 0

Hi all, this is my first post so apologies if it doesnt come out correctly. I am most definately a bride on a budget so here are a few areas i'd like to share with you.
I got some beautiful silk flowers via ebay from 'the brides bouquet' (if you type 'budget wedding flowers' into ebay search it brings them up). I got brides, 3 brides maid, a wand and button holes for less than £100, absolutely lovely.
The Dress- from Helene Bridal based in china, cost around £160- is a maggie sottero copy- it was made to measure its absolutley stunning and i tried an almost idenitcal dress in bridal shop for £1500, so i feel a very lucky girl. So i think they are worth the gamble if your tight on funds, i feel a bit bad for the designers and bridal shops but if your tight on your budget somethings got to give.
 I hope this helps you0

            Hiya,
Im trying to plan on a tight budget in leicester for 2012, where is your venue, thats a great price, better than i have been able to find lol!!
 Thanks
The Holiday Inn (top of High St do a package for £1k...maybe you could try there?
Princess Donna.....As for a photographer, we looked at getting a photography student from Leicester College. We were quoted £100 last year.
You could always ask my mate who is starting out and trying to build a portfolio. He is doing one for free this year. My only suggestion for this though, (if this makes sense) would be not to totally rely on him to be a professional photographer. You could still have back up people with their own cameras if that makes sense to you?0
