Changed phone number

I'm about to start a DMP and am fully aware I'm going to face a barrage of calls/post for a while. I'm aware I can tell creditors to correspond by post only, but to reduce the hassle further I've changed landline no.

I feel flipping liberated to say the least. It'll be nice to just let loved ones have my number. I couldnt have caller ID for some reason (due to exchange). :j
Second and final LBM 01/01/11 Nearly got there but fell of wagon. HAVE to do it this time

That's great if it's going to make you feel less stressed and more able to face up to things. Just as long as having no calls doesn't mean you stick your head in the sand about the debts : ). It doesn't sound like it though! xxx

Good for you, I find any calls very threatening and intrusive, your home is often your only little haven. :D

  • I think the girl whose number I now have done that. 11 months down the line I still get phone calls from people looking from her, including her auntie Jean who swears that if she had changed her number she'd have told her. I spent about 10 mins with this old lady trying to explain that every time she dialed the number she would just get me.

I just told the people on the phone to write to her by RD if they wanted to contact her

Barclaycard is one of my creditors. I also was a few days late with a Nationwide payment a couple of months ago. I was bombarded with an automated, robotic voice several times a day. Pmsl at the Aunty Jean thing!!
