these are great for getting to know the sky better. this is one of those things that if you learn it will never change.
download in pdf. it has instructions to show how to use anywhere in the world.

Looks interesting. I am interested in star charts.
I've been looking at those circular celestial planesphere thingies (from Phillips) and they seem to need to be set specifically for certain latitudes. From what I can tell the Phillips one allows you to move the window around and get the exact amount of stars in the sky on a specific date of the year.
(But I'm also interested in learning how to make fictional star charts, for a fantasy project, and this download might help me learn how to do that.)Longtime fan of MSE and the good advice given out here. :hello:

A really excellent program is Stellarium http://www.stellarium.com
Its of the quality of a commercial program, but is open source and completely free!0 -
There's also a great android app called Google Sky Map which is also free0
