mortgage help please....

am looking to remorgage my current house currently owe 85k but would like to remortgage at 100k for some home improvmemts, house worth aprox 160k i have (14 years left on mortgage)
could anyone point me in the direction of any good deals as quite frankly i am completely bamboozeled by imformation overload from various lenders.i understand about fixed rates etc but wondered if i was missing any good deals at the moment

    I'd suggest looking at the First Direct, HSBC and Co-op Bank sites first. They seem to have a number of cheaper deals if you're borrowing less than 60% of the property value. I prefer longer term fixed rates (e.g. 5 years) but these may not fit with your own needs.

    Alternatively, www.moneyfacts.co.uk will let you scan more of the market. And finally, seeing a broker may help you to narrow down your options a little bit more.
