hey i dont see the problem! my wedding ring was £10! i have my hands in washing up water, changing nappies and all sorts every day so a cheapo one is a good idea as a stand in one for the real thing (which my oh will be able to afford when were 50!)

    a ring is a ring.

A ring is a ring, the size nor composition do not reflect the love. I would rather a £10 ring given in love, than some poor man killing himself with debt to pay for something I could show off. Good on you :) You are with him, not his wallet :D

Not to be sneezed at - perfect for proposing with then taking the lady in question to a local jeweller so she can pick her own ring.;)

I know I'd have hated it if my husband had picked my ring for me.

I don't care so much what the ring is like, more what it symbolises!! £3 ring or no £3 ring I just want to be his fiancee!!!:rotfl:

This is what my husband did - bought a sweet little sterling silver/cubic zirconia ring for £5 for the proposal, then we went and chose my "official" engagement ring together.

Mine too, although the ring didn't fit me so I couldn't wear my stand in ring. :D Not that it mattered to me, the proposal was the important part!

Maybe there is a higher demand for these low priced rings since coco cola changed their ring pulls. :rotfl:

I'd rather this ring, than the dead woman's one a certain very rich Englishman just used to propose to his future wife. I find the idea of being proposed to with a piece of junk quite kitsch and romantic. You can't put a price on love and romance! <3
