I have been waiting over 6 months for the ombudsman to investigate the probs with my endowment, keep getting letters apologising for delay due to number of claims...........fair enough but does anyone know what the waiting time is for them to actually start work on it?

6 months-2 years is not uncommon.
A glib comment from a complaints handling firm i heard at a meeting earlier in the year was "the longer the better as the market recovers, the better the surrender value and the less the compensation that has to be paid, if any".I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
