I was lucky enough to get the right play tent last year, they thought they had run out but then found a box with the last 3 in it. Many others were unlucky though, I don't think they had enough stock at all. It's good, the kids still pay with it now. I thought I only had to spend £50 last year though......
I would phone up your local store and ask them to reserve a Thomas tent that day for you and confirm that they have one there and then. Check how long they will actually keep it for you and get down there in time.
BTW, I live near a T R U and have found the Customer Service to be continuously appalling (don't care attitude, unhelpful, denying refunds if they possibly can, etc) so don't rely on them to keep it for you too long....maybe 10 minutes tops!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I got the free tent last year too, for a spend of £50.
But.... they forgot to scan the tent, but did scan the voucher which took £19.99 off the bill,,,so £50 of Thomas goodies for £30 AND free tent!!!!
