Does anyone know where this can be done and if they charge for the service, I have a collection of old / obsolete / faulty computers in my roofspace that I would like to dispose of...

Are you commercial or just a hoarder :rotfl: I would imagine that if you're just a hoarder then your local recycling centre might take them for free but if you're commercial you'll get charged. Your best bet would be to contact your local council and see what they say unless someone from your area posts back.0

My local council took 3 old computers away for for me a few weeks ago for free.Filled in a Bulky Items Collection Form obtained from Borough Council Depot.They also have the forms in the Council Offices.0

I remember this company a while ago that recycles old computers etc. They wiped the hard drive, generally refurbished parts of computers and these bits&bobs were sent to the likes of Africa so they can be used. I am not sure how you would go about tracing this sort of company, but maybe contacting Oxfam or even UTV, as maybe it was a programme on the telly I was watching...:beer:0

They say they'll accept any old PCs, so may be worth a call. They're a Southern charity, but have a place in Belfast (Townsend Street).

Take them to your local council Skip, they have area for TV's Computers etc...
