Totally agree - completely against the spirit of the site I think. By all means post bargains - don't title your post so that it completely enables selfish no necks to go and selfishly make themselves a packet of fags for doing very little. I bet hundreds of people did this just because of the title of this post.

Whilst genuine people who would have liked the item haven't got a chance. Thanks for nothing OP

'Thanks for nothing OP' - bit harsh!

WOW! Someone got out the wrong side of bed today!

However, I do understand what you are saying and I respect that. As a result, the title will be changed. This offer has been on in the past and I'm sure it will be on again; as soon as it is, I will bump up the thread.

I would like to point out that I am not one of those selfish individuals. Buying the game, trading it at CEX etc. means you can make a saving for another item in the shop. Making some cash will mean you can save money when buying another item in another shop.

I completely agree that (IMO) it is not correct to buy 3,4,5+ of these games to make easy money. But how can I stop those individuals? The same can be said about online glitches, tesco misprices etc. where individuals buy the product in their dozens just for the sake of it. This makes it far less likely that sales will be honoured. This kind of stuff happens on this site constantly.

By putting the £7.01 CEX exchange in the title, I was thinking that perhaps you could buy a copy of this game (max. 2), go into CEX, exchange it and get a 2nd hand/brand new game on a PS3, Xbox 360 etc. If I hadn't put the CEX exchange idea in the title, then another user would have in the thread (this was the case with the Vicar of Dibley - Complete Collection).

Anyway, I don't want to argue about this topic and I certainly didn't intend to upset anyone by starting this thread. I hope I have clarified the above situation.

I understand what you are saying and hope you do what i said. I just felt that the title kind of facilitates the no necks I mentioned to simply go an buy this for the sole reason of going and making a few quid for nowt.

Exactly the kind of people who won't of thanked you and i doubt even bother posting on here - just trawling like vultures for ways to make a killing. By posting what you can do in the title this just enables them.

And is probably the reason why the game sold out so quickly! Therefore preventing people, like me - who would just like a bargain to treat our kids, the chance of doing that.

Anyway - thanks for your response - sorry if I was a bit harsh - just that my son really wanted this game - unlike the muppets who just wanted to cash in!

currys lets you do click and reserve if you got it in a store near you but unfouranetly for me nearest that has it to far away for me to get it but might be ok for some of you
  • I picked this up a while back when it was on the same offer.
Played it once, didn't like it and am trading it in at Gamestation tomorrow for £12 or getting potentially £13.50 cash (currently offering an extra 50% on cash trade ins).

Fortunately I can only get those prices because there's a CEX 2 mins away from the Gamestation store, and they will always beat them on prices.

I don't class it as money-making as I did get it for the kids originally, and it's being traded with a bunch of other games, with the plan that the cash goes as spending money on our Disney trip.

I've tried reserving for store collection on Currys but nothing happens at after clicking the checkout.
  • Same for me, in stock locally, gone for local store collection, and keep pressing checkout and nothing happens! Why?
