Today I have been into the Sunderland Store and had a conversation with one of the staff. Apparently, this 20% weekend is a trial run and I think she said it was online and in 6 of their stores. Obviously they are seeing how it goes before making any further decisions. Sunderland was not one of the chosen stores.
Whilst I was in the store, I saw quite a nice dining set priced at £299. I would have bought it but being a keen MSE'r I decided to buy online and save myself approximately £60. Delivery would be free.
So all in all a real good deal. Unfortunately, the item is £30 MORE online than in store,(£329.99) so whilst it would still be cheaper than buying it from the store, in effect they are only giving you 10% really. I just find it a bit strange that the same item from the same retailer is available at a difference price! Sally0 -
