Just had an email about this offer from the Guardian and Observer newspapers:
Read some of the details here:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/competition/2011/jan/06/bmf
It seems that there will be a fee video to download as well as the BMF membership and the free guide
Cut and paste of email text:
To celebrate 2011 we've put together a range of guides and giveaways to help you have a happy new year. Offering a lasting alternative to gruelling regimes and unrealistic resolutions, they'll cover everything from healthy food and drink to getting a great night's sleep and even learning to meditate.
This weekend we have two great ideas to help you get 2011 off on the right foot.
Free with the Guardian on Saturday, our 68 page guide covers simple exercises to do at home, soothing stretching sessions, brisk walking workouts and running regimes. There's even a section on outdoor circuits for the very brave. So throw some old gear on, lace up and don't look back.
In this Sunday's Observer we're offering a week's free British Military fitness membership, which you can use for any of over 400 classes a week in 105 parks around the country. All their instructors are currently serving or ex army, and particularly persuasive when it comes to coaxing you through an hour-long work out. Even if you can't make it to their sessions, you can download a free BMF audio tutorial to do on your own.
Start happy: get fit for free, this weekend with the Guardian and Observer.

Maybe I should have put this in the low-spend board as you have to buy the newspaper for the free guide, so sorry about that. On the other hand, the video download should be free to all once it has gone live - don't know about the BMF membership, we shall have to wait and see.0

The free fitness video is live now - http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/video/2011/jan/06/health-and-wellbeing-fitness - so it's something free! Thanks OP.0

I got the 'get fit for free' guide with my Guardian newspaper this morning and it's quite good. There is a freephone number to call if any of the sections of your newspaper are missing and they will send you the relevant section: 0800 839100.0

Great, thanks for this OP.
I missed the chance to buy Sat's paper for the booklet but looking at the video on the website, I see there are also several useful articles which perhaps cover similar ground? http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/series/start-happy
It says they will be updating weekly in January with more articles, videos and giveaways so I'll be bookmarking this one.
Thanks again, this will be useful.0 -
I didnt manage to get an Observer today before they ran out. Anyone got any info or a link for the free workout downloads??
