twitter comps..??!!

Im so sorry to post this on the "i won" forum but i really cant seem to find this anywhere.....

i have just created a twitter account for comping (seems to be lots of good wins on there) ...but my problem is this - when i RT am i supposed to leave that retweet on there for the duration of the competition or once you have "tweeted" is it ok to do another??

Im completely baffled and quite that at 31 years old i have no knowledge of this :rotfl:

Hi

It took me a while to get used to Twitter too, and there's still quite a lot I don't understand. But I do get a few wins on there so I must be doing something right!

All your tweets stay on there so you can tweet and retweet as much as you like. The company running the comp will be able to find your entry as long as you've mentioned them (using @ - this is done automatically when retweeting) or used the hashtag # that they've asked for.

another thing is don't retweet other people's retweets to that comp - find the original tweet, run by the comp organiser and retweet that instead (if that makes sense)

trying to get my head round it myself been on for a week.

and someone posted a blog from @compergrapevine on here that i read and found useful for tips.

Ive been in it a while i must admit i dip in and out as i still cant work out what to do lol

well im starting to understand it now im not thinking i have to leave a tweet on like a facebook status (i entered one for a tv comp and thought christ surely i dont need to leave this on til the end of the month )

very embarrassed to have asked but grateful to you all that i did....haha i feel stupid!!
