OXI Action - any cheaper brands just as good?

Hoping someone can help with this.

I do my Mum's shopping - she's my dad's carer and he's incontinent, which means lots of washing for her. She really likes Vanish Oxi Action (the white powder) which seems to be the only thing that shifts the stains but it's horrendously expensive and they're on a tight budget.

(Got a 1.5kg one at Asda yesterday for £8 - it was £11 at Tesco's !)

Has anyone found anything cheaper that does as good a job?

Sainsburys have the 750g drum at half price at the moment £3.14. Offer runs out 25th Jan

Iceland sell this for £1 per tub

I tried it once and it was pretty good. For a quid you could give it a go if you have an Iceland nearby.

I did get two massive drums of a similar product ( sodium percarbonate) a year ago in the pound shop, it was an excellent bargain at £1 each and I have just finished them so will be looking out for more.
Napisan or other nappy cleanser/oxygen bleach *may* be cheaper than Oxyclean but nowhere near as cheap as my bargain.

Was in Morrisons today and spotted that they are selling Vanish Oxy Action for half price, £4.07 a tub

Thanks for this. It's the smaller size - but still, buying two of those at the moment would be better value than buy the large one for £8.

I've been using Poundland 'wizz oxi ultra plus' with active oxygen for ages now and its brilliant. It contains sodium Carbonate Peroxhydrate if that helps

this is what I buy, I dont rate the Vanish ones at all and this does actually work well!

How about trying napisan and using a hot wash - just a thought or using soda crystals, napisans main ingrediant is Sodium Percarbonate which is sodium carbonate and hydrogen peroxide, which is mainly the same as the other products mentioned. I am not sure if supermarkets do their own sanitizing products - but napisan is first class,

Ii have been using washing soda as an additive to my wash for ages, seems to do quite a good job. Have NEVER found anything that will cope with my OH's badminton gear though! If anyone brings anything out that will get that white again I would pay a premium and be a customer for life!!
