How about some delicious goodies for her party (presuming she is having one).
e.g. Cake made of sweeties, homemade tablet, cupcakes etc?
Alternatively you could go to a poundshop and buy a basic wooden frame which you could decorate with funky craft stickers etc and put a nice picture of your niece with her friends inside."Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" Can you sew?
I made this bag for my niece who is 7 and she loved it - you could pretty much add onto the front whatever you wanted (only any good though if you have a sewing machine and Im not sure if you do?)0 -
How about making up a kit of beads and memory wire so she can make her own bracelet like these... http://www.google.co.uk/images?um=1&hl=en&rlz=1T4ADRA_enGB373GB373&biw=1329&bih=509&tbs=isch%3A1&sa=1&q=memory+wire+bracelets+childrens&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=
She will then have a fun gift and a new skill.Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0 -

wow jls my daughter would go mad for that
i made my girls recently to furry cushions each apink and a lilac they loved them, i have also made them named hair clips/bracelets and key chains.
i have also made up little bead kits to make bracelets for my friends girls for xmas they loved them and bought them round made yesterday to show me. i think girls are so much easier to make things for:xmastree:Is loving life right now,yes I am a soppy fool who believes in the simple things in life :xmastree:0 -
why dont you put together a kit so she can make her own sock monkey. or a baking kit. cake/biscuit in a jar. journal in a jar.0

You could also get some fleece fabric and make her a cushion cover like these.. http://www.google.co.uk/images?rlz=1T4ADRA_enGB373GB373&q=no+sew+fleece+cushion&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi&biw=1329&bih=509 or as before buy the stuff and make one with her. She will really enjoy the time together as much as the present and you don't sew a single stitch

Theyn won't be able to ruin your blanket so just enjoy it. Also they are so easy to make when the time does come to replace it, blanket not the kids!!Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0
