Why aren't we able to link youtube videos into a post like other forums?

I think the YT tag (encoding )is not - as yet -- permitted/

I know you can post a link to the vid but on other forums if you added and inserted the video link inbetween the YT brackets a vdeo player would imbed in the post allowing the video to be watched straight offf the forum

I'm sure there's a very good reason for it; I can't think of anything worse than wasting my bandwidth downloading a youtube video that I haven't chosen to watch.
Also you are going to get idiots embedding offensive/stupid videos just to get a reaction.0
