It's lovely as a base - needs a bit of spicing up.
It's been 9p for a while, as is Tesco value curry sauce.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

i agree, add some basic curry powder, mushrooms and onion and tis lovely !Bow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais0

i have to disagree, i found it far to sweet as i do with most jar sauces. its nearly as cheap to mix tandoori masala powder and cheap plain yoghurt to marinate your chicken and that tastes a million times better0

IMO, the Tesco one tastes disgusting.0

I've not tried it but my hubby loves it on his chips !My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0

these were on 'offer' for 3p a few months ago at my local sainsbury's. i mean for 9p...you really can't go wrong. think of the packaging, transportation costs etc. got to be worth a punt...and nectar points :rotfl::grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member

It's not a proper Curry sauce more a 'Chinese' curry sauce, and I love it. Wack some left over cold meats ( roast porks my favourite) and a sliced onion, heat for 10mins or so and serve with boiled or microwaved rice. Luverly!0

Try also adding a handful of raisins or sultanas. mmmmmThe best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0 -
We buy it all the time... add some curry powder to it... and put it in the slow cooker with leftover chicken, veg and lentils and it's a lovely dinner! We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. It's a bit of a fruity sauce, ideal for kids as it's not too spicy, i add chicken, onion, mushrooms and peas and they love it with some rice and a mini naan bread - Fair enough, it's not as good as a freshly made sauce or some of the more expensive brands but great for a quick, cheap meal. Tesco used to sell theirs for 4p a can so sometimes I'd go mad and add 2 tins at a time LOL0
