Where has dishwasher salt gone?!

I went to update my Tesco order with dishwasher salt as I have just used the last of my stash, and I can't find any! I use the three in one tablets, but my machine still flashes and says it needs salt and rinse aid (but not very often).
Should I ignore the flashing (difficult!), or try somewhere else for the salt?

personally I'd try somewhere else!
I got some from sainsburys last week - it was on the bottom shelf underneath all the dishwasher tabs etc.
Find it really odd that Tesco don't have any tho - the tiny little post office in the next village to me even sells it!0 -
Yes, my favourites list seemed to be a huge list of 'sorry, this item is currently unavailable'! It is an exageration to say there was none, there was the option of expensive Finish or none at all. Dunno what has happened at the moment to all the things I usually buy.....0

I think people bought it up and used it on the ice during the recent cold spell! I know I did after reading about it on here I think. Worked a treat too.Norn Iron Club member 4730

The manual for my dishawasher says I can safely ignore the warning lights and not use any salt or rinse aid if you are using 3 in 1 tablets on the dishwashers '3 in 1' setting.0

Around about August time the 99p Store were selling 4kg boxes of Calgonit dishwasher salt. Calgonit is made by Finish I believe.
You could also try Poundland as well.
Finish Max in 1 Powerball Tabs in Lidl are £5.99. I guess these are the ones shammyjack meant.0 -

The OP did not ask for tabs but for salt which is what I posted about .Lidl own brand Dishwasher SALT is a lot cheaper than £5.99.0 -
Wasn't sure what the difference was. Thanks for pointing this out shammyjack.0

I would ignore the manual saying don't bother with salt if you are using the 3 in 1 tabs, my BIL fixes dishwashers and he is adamant they need salt0

Lidl dishwater salt is either 89p or 99p (I think). I use this all the time, so ought to remember the price really!0
