bank charges
misfire
have just had a lightbulb moment today. I dont get paper statements but do internet banking - i have been studying my statement for where i spend my money (i know it goes somewhere)
and i have just realised i pay my bank 180 pound a year for the privilidge of giving me an overdraft (but if have 4 grand in my acc per month they wouldnt charge me
if i had 4 grand a month i wouldnt need an overdraft!!) .... it never occured to me before actually i pay them 15 pound plus a % charge on the over 250 gbp balance.
does anyone know if there is any way round this? can i change banks while having an overdraft?
I am trying really hard to pay the overdraft off but i have had it for nearly 2 years (360 quid to them :-( ) i have paid all c.c etc... off it is the only debt i now have (been bloody hard paying the rest).
Feel really stupid that this never occured before but when you are dealing with 2600 debt 15 quid a month doesnt seem much where in reality it is.

Debt free May 2016 (without the support of MSE forum users that would never have been possible - thank you all)
