Why the picture of the old look but not a picture of the new look? An oversight?0

Some comments above suggest Martin is maturing ... turning into his Dad maybe ??
But could it be that he's turning into his 'namesake' that other famous financial journalist, the BBC's Paul Lewis (Radio 4 moneybox programme) who can be seen sporting some amazing attire in the checked jacket department.
I have yet to see the be-jacketed Martin on telly, so cannot say whether his new jackets will equal Paul's sartorial elegance
Incidentally, I too have taken to the sports jacket look in recent months.0 -
Not a jacket! Pleeaasssee.....
Your jacketless style was a small ray of hope in this boring - and seemingly endless - suited and booted universe! For those of us who HATE formal male clothing, you were a valuable ally. This is a sad day indeed!
But on a more positive note...
Just followed your guidance for getting cheaper car insurance and saved my Mum £900! Yes, £900!!!
So you're still doing something right! :A

Please, not a blazer. I think a fiver for 10 mins massage would be in order if it was good. Thank you for your website.0

How dare they request you wear formal trousers! I think your look suits you very well. I wouldn't sit on a sofa with a blazer on though, from past experience it just bunches up at the chest area. Sporting a blazer when sat on a chair or stool is fine. there's my two-bit's worth0

£20 shirt in the sale?
Hoep I'm not the only one that gets a shirt for £5 & jeans for £4 in primark0 -
Whatever makes you comfortable - anything that makes you feel uncomfortable will break your concentration. However I would listen to Mrs MSE, she probably knows how far and fast to push you in the sartorial elegance front. As an ex-tv bod dark colours with stripes can be a bit over-whelming and have a slightly spivy city-boy/ car-saleman image, slightly out-of-step with todays political (small p) situation. I appreciate that these things are very unimportant compared with the substance of you message. But communication works at many levels, I'm sure you will look and feel great
Just keep the great advice coming:T0 -

Blazer :eek: 'Sports Jacket' :eek::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Is Mrs MSE 100% making sure that adding the blazer/sports jacket to the stripey shirt, means no woman living in this decade would flirt with you?
You are a young man Martin, pop in to any department store and a personal shopper to help0
