Find out sex of baby lagan valley hospital

Hi

my fianc!e is pregnant with our second baby and we would like to find out the sex. We are going to lagan valley again but they strictly do not tell you. Is there anywhere else we can go and how many weeks can they tell with maybe a 4d scan which I have heard.

Any advice would be great as we are both anxious

Paul Fogarty in Crawfordsburn does the 4d or 3d scans, and I'm pretty sure you can book in for just the scan even if you aren't a private patient. His website is www.drfogarty.co.uk. He delivered both my children and I would highly recommend him.

I had ds in lagan valley last year and they told me. well they hovered the scanned over the correct bits and then confirmed what we said it was. it was very obvious though. consultant also told us at another scan when i just wanted to check it hadnt changed!!

Congrats on your impending arrival. I toyed with the idea of a scan and found Dr Fogarty as well as 3fivetwo (http://www.3fivetwo.com/services/mother-baby/4d-ultrasound-scan/100232). In the end I decided against it but I wish you luck as some pics I've seen from 4d scans are amazing.

I would also recommend Dr Fogarty. The wife went there for something completely different, but I found both him and his staff to be excellent. We had our little one through the Ulster and although they would not tell us when I asked, she said it looked like a little girls bum and left it at that... and yes we had a girl.

Someone told me that they don't say now because someone was told wrongly, bought a load of stuff the wrong colour and then put a claim in against the hospital.

Probably not far off the mark!

Thanks for the help. Will chance my arm at the lagan valley with some non direct questions. Called dr fogarty. For a scan not 4d. Just to find the sex of baby was £175. I was reccommended a clinic in hillsborough and it was £90. so half the price

Although it's not policy at the Ulster, at my recent scan the doctor was more than happy to tell ...... if we'd wanted to know. I would chance your arm before you pay for something you could find out for free.
