Letter from Lowell

Yes they sent the initial letters to my current address, I sent off the prove it letter and they wrote back thanking me for the letter and said they have updated their records, so I thought the matter was closed.
Now they have written to me at my parents' house again thanking me for my letter and that they will get back to me when they get the information I have asked for.
I only sent one letter and I used my current address on it. I have never given them my parents' address although I was living there for a while around 2003/2004 so realise they could have obtained it.
But why are they acting like I sent them a letter from that address? If I responded to it would that be acknowledging the debt? If it is my debt they are chasing I'm pretty certain it's statute barred now so should I ask my bank for statements from 2004 and 2005 to see exactly when I last made a payment? Thanks
If it is statute barred, but I wasn't sure if it was, I'd send a 'prove it' letter first, and then possibly a statute barred letter. And either letter, I wouldn't include a signature (NEVER do this with any DCA correspondence) and send it recorded delivery.0 -

The letter they sent to my mum and dad's is in reply to the prove it letter I sent from my current address.
They have replied twice to my prove it letter, once to my address and once to my parents, so I think the debt is at least in dispute. So is it worth my while sending another, or shall I wait to see what they do next?0 -

They may have replied, but what did they actually say?
Anything that would constitute proof of debt?0 -

No, just the usual one about having to get information from outside companies to assist with my query and that they cannot say when they will get this info but will be in touch again when they do.0 -

Do nothing for the time being - you've already done what you can do for now.0 -
