I smoked for years and have now given up that was my only enjoyment as I dont go out socially, so that i could get by at xmas, my partner does not have a penny coming in and he now uses my car petrol etc as he cant afford to run his, I really feel like giving up and it just seems so unfair as by the time I have paid all the bills and rent I would probably be better off financially if I did not work, I am thinking of dropping my hours to part time to gain help with rent etc seems crazy to think like that but I am battling with depression, I worry about working paying all the bills etc the kids etc while my partner lies in and then watches telly at home. He is good around the house doing D.I.Y meals etc but I just cant shake this resentment, he says he is looking for a job and there is not much around but I feel if he had a job we would be so much better off, he refuses to work in a factory saying that he has to work out doors. any advice and please don't be too harsh at me regarding him as I am so low and just about keeping it together.thank you. I earn a next income of 900 a month and then I get my child benefit and child tax.
If he is looking for a job he should at least be claiming JSA,
among other things.
Good for you for giving up smoking, its better for you and better for your children,
There is a web site called entitledto.com or something similar where you put your details in and it should tell you what you can apply for.
£900 is quite a low income for a family of 4.
Smoking is your only enjoyment ?
You have two beautiful children, enjoy every moment of them and start thinking more positively.
Hope your husband finds a job soon.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
