  • My advice to you llyllyll is t go see a welfare rights officer and they should be able to help you, it is more than likely that your GP will only have filled in minor parts of the form and if there are several doctors in your practice then it may not even have been the doctor who knows and treats you that filled it in.
My mum was turned down for her DLA renewal because the GP who filled it in was only new to the practice and was basing his answers on a general basis and not on my mother as an individual. As we all know illnessess affect poeple differently.
After getting a welfare rights officer and a lengthy appeal process her award was reinstated, but it still took us about 6 months of stress and anxiety which caused her illness to get worse.
The actual appeal took a whole of 3 minutes in the end as we got a lawyer of our own to write to GP and get a proper form filled in and when the appeal board seen this they decided to reinstate it before we even got to the appeal, we had to turn up as a formality.
If you need to ask any questions feel free and if I can help you with anything I will.
    Good luck
