Battery is Ni-cad.
I purchased one of these from Asda in Kinghill in Kent, about 3 months ago for £25. Thought it looked a good deal so got it and then reseached on the internet when I got home, before even opening it.
Looked on the Draper website and found that the model number didnt seem to exist. Was thus concerned about getting a replacement battery for it later in life. Emailed Draper about it and they pointed me to a replacement battery of on their website - but stated that it was out of stock and had no delivery date for new supplies.
I took the drill back to Asda for a refund.0 -

£35 is almost great offer which you provide. Thanks for it.0

Nicad's can give out the most power so they are probably standard issue to the cheaper power tools.
Lithium batteries have the capacity but are more fragile to power surges.0 -
