audit on credit file

Can someone please explain what it means i have 2 audits on my credit file one from a communcations supplier and one from a finance house. there is no names as to which companies and what effect does it have on my file .

    I got one too. Checkmyfile shows I had an audit on my file in January by a 'MAIL ORDER COMPANY', on an address I haven't lived in for 5 years. Worrying really.
