I am a bit puzzled I have recieved an email confirming a booking confirmation from these people

It then links me to an invoice which has my full name for 1 night stay at Charlton House Near Bath.



I havent recieved anything notifying me of a comp win.

just search forum with mr and mrs smith and brings up a few that ended in dec - 1 was for £400 in vouchers, another a theatre break etc.. so def looks genuine.

Try doing same search and check for which one's you entered - eg: thanks or enter button.

Am wondering whther a company has booked it on your behalf ?? Its very strange it's in your name, and they emailed you confirmation?

Ask them to ring the phone number they have and see who answers ??

I have spoken to someone at Mr and Mrs Smith and they say they spoke to me yesterday and I made the booking by evoucher:eek: they asked if my address was ? which it isnt and they have a different phone number. yet the person who made the has the same name and email address as me :eek: my email isn't an obvious one and doesnt have my name in it.

I am a bit concerned now, they said they would contact the person who made the booking and call me back.

Someone you know hasnt booked it as a surprise for you have they? Just with them having Your name and Your email (which arent obvious)??

Other than that I dunno.....cant wait for them to ring you back though. Lol

Is Bath near you ? Like, would you have entered a Hotel Stay in Bath ?

No Bath isn't near me and nobody would of booked it for me,
also on the confirmation email it has client has requested a cot at £15 per night.

I dont doubt that someone else has booked it but with the same Name and email address its worrying me a bit!

It is worrying.....is the email address of theirs exact?? I thought there couldnt be 2 email addresses identical? I know whenever I have set email addys up in the past, it tells you if its unavailable, or already in use.

Just spoke to them again expressing my concerns. The person has used an evoucher so I dont need to worry about fraud, the person who took the booking yesterday assures me that the lady she spoke to was a lady with the same name but different address and is assuming I might have enquired about a booking in the past and the system had stored my email then when the other woman made the booking and they confirmed the email (mine) she agreed to it without listening or hers is similar but a different provider etc. (although I have never enquired nor did the site recognise my email as I clicked forgotten password and it said email not recognised etc)

I did express my concerns about personal details being sent to the wrong people etc!!

so no comp win just a bit of stress ok alot of stress lol
