I am in the process of setting up a Craft Fair in Ballymena. It will be supported and advertised through Causeway Coast and Glens The local Council and the Tourist Board. It will offer traders a High street locations for reduced rates. I hope to run it on a weekly basis and I am trying to establish if there is a need for this type of venture. All thoughts are appreciated.0

Currently there's a market on Saturdays behind the swimming pool. It's starting to go downhill as the council keeps on raising the price of stalls. They charge something like £10 to use your car to sell.
If you keep your prices lower than the current market you should get alot of business.
Where are you thinking of holding it?0 -
Do you know about this one?

Hi Pretani,
This Fair would be in doors Next to Argos at the Tower Centre. It would hopefully specialise in handmade local crafts. It would be the first of its kind for Ballymena. I am currently involved in talks with the council and local tourism bodies to make sure it gets as much exposure as possible and become a permanent offering in the area.It would allow all local crafters and artist to display there work for sale in a prominent location without the inflated costs of long term leases.0 -

I am currently in discussions with the Council and the local Tourism Bodies who are keen to get involved to help promote local Arts and Crafts and hopefully make this a permanent feature in Ballymena.Anyone interested can contact me via the forum.0

We require traders to hold the following documentation:
ALL TRADERS
-Public liability insurance (to cover up to £1 million although some of our clients request insurance cover up to £5 million)

Our next upcoming event is a market at Carnegie Street in Lurgan Town Centre on Saturday 29th January. This was due to take place in December but had to be postponed due to the snow. We are looking for a variety of both food & craft traders. The market will take place from 10am-5pm with music, childrens entertainment and walkabout characters being part of the days programme. The event will end with a lantern parade through the town centre. The fee for this is £30 for a 3mx3m space or £50 for a space up to 6m.
Please contact me via the email address or telephone number above for further details.
Many Thanks

The Craft Fair would be held in the unit above the restaurant and it would be opened in to the Restaurant at the bottom of the stairs to make use of the current footfall to the Restaurant.0
