Maybe, but at least some of us can spell EMBARRASSED !!!0 -
omg a spelling mistake!!!!!!!111111!!!ONEONE!!!!!
it didnt ruin the enjoyment of the forums for you did it? no, it didn't. so stop being such a pedantic loser and base your replies on the point i was making, so long as you can comprehend it without using dictionary.com.0 -
You asked that as a board we base our replies/answers/conversations on your posts/opinions
i was under the impression, Leroylita, that, this particular thread was about welcoming new members to the forums.
Based on this, i don't see any relevance in your postings to that topic.
Furthermore, when you say "you won't get anything out of it" do you mean, you won't get any enjoyment out of posting/conversing with people, or do you mean you won't get anything, ie information/knowledge out of reading the posts?
Because if the former, then why are you posting at all? I mean, your opinion, while valid, and perfectly defendable in so much as, yes, some posts/threads can be nonsense, or end up off topic, surely doesn't matter to those who make such posts?
And if the latter, and you feel you get nothing from the forums, then why, pray, are you even reading them to know they are full of, ahem...."nonsense" let alone posting to say so? The vibe of your posts suggests you feel you are above it all!!
Lastly, I would point you to the notes at the top of each forum which ask that you be nice to other money savers....and the old adage, that
"if you can't say anything nice (read constructive/informative/nice/relevant into that) then say nothing at all.

thankyou. i apologise if i am wrong, but i thought the tone of the first post, on which the preceeding contents of thread should be at least loosely based, was geared towards getting guests, or 'lurkers' if you will, to register, and that the fact that not as much members were signing up/posting on the forums as one would like was genuinely baffling to some. i therefore thought i should explain why i thought this was, in the hope that it would help. i didnt mean to appear rude, but home truths etc.
with regards to 'getting something out of it' - i'm generally refer to gaining information, knowledge, satisfaction or even indifference from the posts of a majority of users. unfortunately, wading through the rubbish in some threads in a vain attempt to find a post i can reply to gives me a headache. also, i fail to see how the drivel that some threads descend to constitutes conversation. i converse regularly on other forums, so i have no personal vendetta against interaction, i can assure you!
i am trying to make my opinion understood by the ppl who carry out such cringeworthy posting in such nonsensical threads. whether they act on it is up to them.
i read the forums for the freebies, and then any information or opinion on these freebies. such as "these are really effective" or "yeah, i've had one of these before and it was really reliable" and maybe some personal anecdote to make it interesting? maybe i am asking too much, and should just be satisfied that the only worthy content i can get out of a thread is the link in the first post.
i have seen the notes, and i believe am posting constructively. it may not be a positive opinion, and you may well take offence to any critism. but i am trying to keep it as positively constructive as possible. i am sure you will not hold it against me for expressing my opinion

This has been a very interesting post to read and I am sure it has helped many new, unregistered people! I, on the other hand am doing my best to deliver the British public with prime, top quality freebies whereas you are helping them to help me if you understand ??? I can be confusing lol! Basically thanks for this great post!

Hi Leroylita8:)0

certainly not, i hate it when peoples opinions are stifled, and i equally hate when others try and push their opnions on others! and I am not suggesting thats what you were doing.
I quite agree that it can be quite a trawl through these forums to find something good or worthwhile but you can alter you options to be alerted when posts on certain threads or from certain people (ie the people that usually post freebies or grabbits) are posted, that way you get the info you want quickly, and can trawl at you leisure!! trouble is, to use the alert features etc, you need to register!!
