Mortgage hopes on low income £17000

You should be able to get a mortgage.
If you could get the LTV to 80% it would mean getting more and better options available.
How long has your gf been in this situation?
We have been saving for 16months but home life is getting a bit hard at the moment and we really want to get our own space as we both live at home. I have tried looking for a better paid job but have found it really hard, also tried to get some sort of raise but they never seem to bother.0 -
Maybe it would be worth looking at cheaper houses just to get your foot on the ladder? My other half earns £13000, had managed to save up a £10000 deposit and got a mortgage for £47000. It was a bit of a struggle to find this but I wish you all the best!
What we are trying to do is start out with a house that we can live in for at least the next 20years rather than keep moving on in later life. Also the houses for under £70000 where i live are in terrible states and the areas they are located are not a place i would like to call home.0
