So why not just go and find out what you will be offered by a mortgage company? You seem confident you'll manage it so why waste time testing the water on here first? Especially when you're not being told what you want to hear!

You seem set on what you want to do, regardless of the advice you have been given here which makes me wonder why you have even bothered to ask on here (and the debt free board) anyway?

As I said in his other thread John you are the prime example of everything that is wrong in the UK today. I doubt you have any moral fibre in your body nor any redeeming characteristic. In fact the only positive I can take from reading your threads is that you have chosen not to have children because with your lack of moral substance and eager desire to shirk responsibilities you are anything but a father figure or role model. :mad:

Just want to say Im quite appalled from the comments on this thread, Ive had a lot of help of this site but never seen a thread like this. I hope you all feel slightly ashamed of yourself. After all it's the OPs life and he didnt ask us to judge him on his situation.

Realist - I don't think he meant in his second post that he has solved his problem.

Don't know if you saw OP's other thread on this topic in DFW, but his solution to his debt was to basically knock his creditors. That's why he was getting some stick here and a lot there, before admin pulled the thread.

However, he asked for advice and he got it. Maybe not very supportively phrased, but the general consensus was, "Don't do it...."
