I have to agree about the fuel its affecting everyone, can you not pass anything on by putting up your prices if only by a little to help balance out the costs.

I know. My local Morrisons is rarely not the cheapest, but if I happen to be passing certain other stations no a million miles away, there are cheaper. It's a good thing to keep in mind when you end up going home in a different direction cos of roadworks etc.

Have to agree over the rising cost of fuel. Have thought about getting rid of one of our cars, but our public transport is horrendous - not only is it dirty and stinky (which having 4 children is similar to the car
) but the prices have gone up so much, there probably wouldn't that much of a saving if I had to pay or the kids tickets as well! Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -
Morning
No Lucielle - he was too busy this week!! DH not Accountant. I have told him he has to go early this week or else there will be £100 fine......he will go!
Yesterday I also finally managed to sort out some other issues with our accounts so we are looking good (in that it is right, not that we have piles of cash). Doing the 30 mins housework a day really did help, as I didn't have to run around like a mad woman doing 100 things, so will try hard to keep that up this week.
Why is there always too much month left at end of the money! Should just about make it, only because we are being paid on 28/01 rather that 31/01 (because it is a Monday). As I said before my challenge is to reduce total debt to £25k, which means paying of £10k personal and £4900 business - its alot but I think I can do it (interest of course is a killer). I will amend my sig accordingly and tot up payments so far this month (not that there has been many). I have noticed others add up their monthly interest too but that would depress me too much and I think, have a negative impact on my strategy so I will just show what snowball says for total debt.........Janaury I hope will be atypical, in that it will be a low month for 'extra's' but hopefully they will increase in months to come.LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Ok so I have amended my signature.
All debt is now lumped together and has risen due to me including o/d's, which I have been paying off for 2 months now and a loan to the business in Jan 11 from my mum which I have never included before but am paying £200 off so felt I should show it - there is about £3200 left but last statement she gave me from Credit Union showed £3800 so I will just go with that.
This is a serious head out of the sand moment for me as I have included all debt and there is no hiding from it. Before I though loan from mum and o/d's were not 'really' debt......................wonder what makes a debt real....LOL
Also re Ricardo............I owe him £3300 and yes he is the highest interest but DH owes Mr Halifax £8000 at slightly less but still huge interest rate so I am going to give ricardo a reprive and focus on bringing the Halifax down in 2011.
As I have said before, I have never been in the position to make extra payments because business debt required our full attention. Since the business is now operating in a more stable and financially sound place I plan to throw all the extra pennies I have (ebay, amazon, quidco etc) at Halifax and am determined it will be gone in 2011.
So for first few months of 2011 I will finish off business debt and get focused on Horris Halifax.LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.
