What to put in the covering letter??

Hi all, would really appreciate your help with planning my covering letter for a job I would really like. I am unsure what to put in my covering letter to make it really stand out, and also to balance out what I will be putting in the application itself. (if I need to)

Any advice would be greatfully received.

Thanks in advance:j

outline the key person specifications and how you meet them. Use examples, don't use waffle. Be specific on how you are the best fit for the job.

Be confident and sell yourself, don't feel you need to put yourself down. Use short concise sentences. This is the one and only chance you get to impress them, and you only have the 2 minutes they are taking to read the letter.

Proofread it and make sure there are no spelling mistakes, check everything through.

    Good luck!

    What job is it for?

I agree with misskool - outline your positives and the attributes you can offer and why YOU think you are an ideal candidate and that you would be an asset to the company :)
