I haven't read through the entire of this thread but I found out why it wasn't working for me.

The code in the purple box in in caps, I was holding shift and typing the letters into the space and pressing accept, it wasn't classing that as the same as the purple box hence the error message.

Don't have caps lock on, and don't press shift, just type normally and it should come up as caps anyway and accept the code..
