Hi Trace, and welcome. :hello: Please don't despair.

    http://www.cccs.co.uk/

Here is a link to a debt counselling service - am not sure at what stage you can phone them but if you are missing payments and getting defaults it sounds like this is the time.

If you post your SOA (statement of affairs) on here we can give you some advice on where you can make some savings and how you should prioritise your debts etc. Here is another link that tells you what to include:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=107280

Again, please don't despair. You've come to the right place for help, things will soon look a bit brighter - you're taking control of the situation.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Hiya and well done for posting! :hello:

About the mortgage being affected, cccs and payplan are free advice charities and contacting them just for some advice is free and won't affect anything! Depending on the situation, they might suggest something like a debt management plan and they can tell you how that will or will not affect your mortgage.

Have a go at that SOA when you get a chance and we'll have a look :)

  • Just wanted to say hello and welcome as well :hello:. You're in the right place - at least you know there is a problem and want to sort it out and that's the first step. Pop back later on and we'll help you out as much as we can. x
