Taramasalata, not smooth enough, help!

Hi there, has anyone made HM taramasalata?

I have been whizzing it in my food processor for ages but it is still not completely smooth. Should it be?

    Never tried taramasalata, but I did get my hummous much smoother once I sharpened my FP blade ;)

    I'd do it with a hand blender or liquidiser as generally find they get things smoother than the fp...
