Quick gammon question

Morning all. :D

I got 3 bits of gammon from Tesco (3 for £10) and was planning on cooking 2 of them together in the sc. I'm stood here with a bottle of coke on one side and a carton of apple juice on the other and just don't know which way to go tbh (not tried either before). Actually, if I'm honest, I don't really cook too much at all.

We all love carrots and I thought I could put loads of them in to cook with the gammon? Does that make a difference as to which liquid I should choose to cook the gammon in? Carrots in coke? Carrots in apple juice? No carrots at all as neither will work? :undecided

If I do put them in, should I slice them as normal or leave them whole in case they go soggy or something? :o

Thanks for any advice and sorry to start yet another gammon thread, just needed advice asap.

Apple juice :T:T:T We add lots of roughly chopped vegetables to ours, so your carrots will do just fine :)

If you want to chuck the carrotts in then use apple juice. Gammon cooked in coke is nice but not sure about carrotts in coke?

I do mine in the oven at gas 2 for a couple of hours. What does the packet say?

I just use the juice without water. When you make gravy, tasts it as you may want to dilute at that time.

Save any leftover juice to make soup - I add some leftover gammon or bacon, and lentils - cheap and nutritious :T
